Jean-Luc Ponty

After hearing 'Computer Incarnations For World Peace' and 'Nostalgia' from 'Individual Choice' (LP) I decided to pay some extra attention to Jean-Luc Ponty's discography by picking up his releases whereever i could. It proved to be a blessing because every album has one or more gems in it. One of the best fusion jazz musicians if i may say so.

Some bits of his music were stuck in my head for days after listening to Lps so i decided to play with them a bit.

Bonus Track:

P.S. Sorry for the clicks on 'Violin Summit'. I've found this record in a very dreadful condition. Tried to clean it up but could only do so much.

RARE SHOT BLUE

I thought this particular artist is more than worth a mention. RARE SHOT BLUE is a one man band out of Christchurch, New Zealand with his first Trip Hop / DownBeat album "Where I Was Born". If you are fan of Massive Attack and Portishead, this one would be deffinetly a good listen. I was taken by the lush and, at times, soulful sound of the album. Hideto Kobayashi's creative ideas, quality production/programming and a few local talented singers is a sure recipe for something special. Featured singers on "Where I Was Born" are LA Mitchell, Sacha vanBeek and Lucy Banas. Album is currently avaluable on i-tunes.
